Case Study 9

Meet the Client

CLIENT: Our client was sole proprietor running his own trucking business in the pacific northwest, primarily focusing on serving his local area.

WHAT OUR CLIENT WANTED: The client wanted protection for his business and personal assets. Additionally, he wanted help minimizing his tax burden from operating his business and managing his estate as it grew along with his business.

HOW WE MET THEIR EXPECTATIONS: We recommend that the client establish his own operating entities, which would protect his home and other personal assets from potential liabilities that arise from operating a trucking business. TAVAS was also able to minimize his self-employment taxes by recommending he pay himself in line with individuals who served in similar roles with additional recommendations such as establishing a retirement plan and a healthcare benefits plan, TAVAS was able to provide the client with a clear path to success with the company. TAVAS was also able to provide estate planning recommendations that would ensure the client’s newly generated wealth would be protected and provide a stable foundation for future generations of his family.
